Polavaram Project

The Polavaram Project was an under-construction multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the Eluru District and East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh, India.

The project had been accorded National Project status by the Central Government of India.Its reservoir backwater spread: Up to the Dummugudem Anicut (approx. 150 km (93 mi) back from the Polavaram dam on the main river side). Approx. 115 km (71 mi) on the Sabari River side. It extended into parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha states

Zojila tunnel

The Zojila Pass, located at an elevation of 11,578 feet on the Srinagar-Kargil-Leh National Highway, became impassable during winter due to heavy snowfall, isolating Ladakh from Kashmir. The Zojila Tunnel was designed to provide an alternative route, ensuring all-weather connectivity and addressing the challenges caused by winter closures.

The single-tube Zojila Tunnel stretched from Baltal in Ganderbal district (Kashmir) to Minimarg in Drass town (Kargil, Ladakh), with an 18 km approach road, making the total project length 31 km.

ONGC set to launch India’s offshore Cluster X

As of November 2022, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) was preparing to launch India's offshore Cluster X development. The project was set to feature a Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU), three new wellhead platforms, and the utilization of one existing offshore platform.

This initiative was part of ONGC's broader strategy to enhance domestic oil and gas production, with plans to invest approximately $7.2 billion across up to 24 field development, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), and Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) projects.

Versova-Dahisar Link Road (VDLR)

Project Segmentation: The VDLR is divided into six phases, with notable components including: A 4.5-kilometer elevated road connecting Versova to Bangur Nagar. A 3.9-kilometer tunnel between Mindspace in Malad West and Charkop in Kandivli, designed to streamline traffic flow and minimize surface disruption.

Project Approval and Budget: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has approved a proposal worth ₹25,413 crore for the VDLR. This budget encompasses construction costs, Goods and Services Tax (GST), operation and maintenance expenses, and land rental for casting yards. The actual construction cost is estimated at ₹16,306 crore, with an additional ₹928 crore allocated for land rental.
